As the worldwide pandemic continues to affect communities and businesses around the world, Giannatrade Group has taken a firm stance from an early point, to ensure the health and well-being of staff, clients and partners are at the forefront of its operational strategy. This has meant working closely with Giannatrade Groups medical partner/adviser- Medicorp Global, and in line with guidelines set out by the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure effective and stringent pre-cautionary measures are in place.
Across Giannatrade Group, the different business divisions implemented the following measures, and will continue to do so until further notice:
- All none-essential staff are currently working from home.
- All essential staff working on-site are having daily temperature and health checks along with issuance of gloves, face masks and hand sanitisers. Staff displaying any form of illness or flu-like symptoms are to stay home.
- All staff working on sites have had multiple training sessions surrounding COVID-19, hygiene and health & safety practices.
- Essential local national staff are working on long rotational shifts, during which are staying on Giannatrade staff sites which are heavily monitored and disinfected several times daily among other measures. During rotational change-over, new shift staff to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days before resuming duty.
- Giannatrade Group owned automotive workshops are operating on an emergency basis only and with minimum capacity manpower under strict HSE guidelines, with the aforementioned rotational structure and measures being closely followed.
- Client owned, Giannatrade run/operated workshops, operating at minimum capacity under strict HSE guidelines, with aforementioned rotational structure and measures being closely followed.
- Giannatrade transport and logistics service operating as usual with drivers having temperature checks, face masks, gloves and hand sanitisers as well as disinfection of driver clothing and vehicle carried out.
- At life support and accommodation facilities, all incoming residents and staff to have temperature checks daily prior to entering camp, along with hands being sanitised, gloves and masks being provided, all clothing and packages are also being disinfected.
- All new clients are to be checked by on-site doctor before being asked to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.
- Vehicles transporting clients are not to enter the accommodation ECP and must be parked at secured parking, clients to enter via secured pedestrian entrance. If for any reason the vehicle must enter the accommodation site, then it must be disinfected at the ECP before access being allowed.
- All incoming goods and items are disinfected. High-risk items are also being held in a quarantine zone over-night before entering stores.
- All site hygiene and housekeeping practices have doubled to normal circumstances.
- Areas of group gatherings have been closed temporarily.
- All clients have been encouraged of social distancing, with dining facilities no longer being self-serving, and tables that were previously seating 4-people are only seating 2-people (with the tables and seating being 1 meter apart).
- Current and other measures are being reviewed daily as seen necessary by Giannatrade Group Health and Safety management.
